ABOUT

Gate 28 Gallery

GATE 28 reflects my journey from overcoming personal fears to embracing nature and architecture through photography. I began by exploring Ohio's parks, conquering my apprehension about solo hiking and heights. This reconnected me with childhood memories of gardening with my grandfather. My landscape photography stems from a love of being present in nature, immersing myself in the sounds of the environment. My architectural photography, rooted in a lifelong passion for design that began with childhood drawings of mansions and castles, complements this. GATE 28 is my way of blending these interests, capturing present moments while honoring both natural beauty and human-made artistry.

The GATE 28 February 2025 exhibit captures the raw beauty of glacial rocks and waterfalls in Ohio’s Spring Hocking Hills through striking black-and-white photography, where the ancient strength of stone meets the fluid power of cascading water. Each image unveils the region’s unyielding force, transforming its rugged landscape into timeless art that transcends color, offering a compelling narrative of contrast, endurance, and serene elegance.
